After studying a Hairstylist course at Designer at the Academy of Beauty and Art “Dolores” in Russia, she honed her skill at  workshop as a Wig Maker.

When Vera relocated to South Africa, she began her professional career in the Film and Television industry, bringing her distinctive talent and passionate artistry to international TELEVISION Series such as the multiple Emmy® award-winning Black Sails, produced by Michael Bay; Sony Picture’s acclaimed The Crown; Domininon for Sony Pictures, Universal, and SyFy; The Great British Story: A People’s History for BBC; and Origins: The Journey of Humankind. Her other Credits include Death Race: Inferno; Leonardo 2; and Labyrinth for Scott Free Productions and Tandem Communications, starring Jessica Brown Findlay.

On international MOTION PICTURES Vera has worked with a string of Academy Award® winners and nominees on such films as, The Giver (starring Meryl Streep); Eye in the Sky, Sean Penn’s The Last Face, (starring Charlize Theron and Javier Bardem); The Dark Tower, (starring Idris Elba, and Academy Award® winner Matthew McConnaughey); Zulu with Orlando Bloom, Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, (starring Golden Globe® winner, Idris Elba); and Breathe, starring Andrew Garfield.

During this time, Vera has worked alongside well known Hair and Make-Up designers such as  Pamela Haddok; Colleen La Baff, and Ivana Primorac

Vera’s skill in Hair and Wig design and application embraces a wide scope of genres from romance, Horror and Adventure, to SciFi, Fantasy and History. She is noted for her design and creation of unique and authentic features that have portrayed the essence of the character, from lead and supporting roles, to hundreds of extras.
